DAY 1 - Meet The Family!

Alyssa got to meet all her family today.  From Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Grandparents, and distant relatives, she had a busy day.  Her and Mommy are plum tuckered out so they're going to sleep.  Design dad chooses to forego sleep in order to edit photos and blog.  I'm either a nerd, or way way way proud, you decide... I choose both!

SHE MADE IT!

Hello world!  Welcome Alyssa Reneé Cox!  Born at 4:33 PM at OMHS, she weighs 5 lbs., 17 oz. and measures 19.5 inches long.  After 16 1/2 hours of labor she finally made her debut!  Mom and baby are doing fantastic, and we're all enjoying this time together.  More pictures to come in the following days, weeks, months, years, decades, you get the idea....

Almost! Any time now!

Sitting in the Labor and Delivery Room right now with Kayla.  Contractions are two to three minutes apart.  Alyssa will be here in the VERY near future.  Pray for Kayla as she is obviously less than comfortable.  As soon as we meet Alyssa and get a picture or two I'll introduce you to her!

She's Coming!

Welp, we went to the doctor today, and it looks like I'll be a dad within the next week!  The doctor said she "stirred things up" and if Alyssa doesn't make a move this week, we're going in to get her this coming Tuesday, November 2!  Pretty exciting stuff.  I'll keep you posted!

She's almost here!

Holy Cow!  I'm gonna be a dad any day now...

Yeah that's right, Kayla's having my baby!  Congratulations are accepted, as well as baby gifts and Apple products.

First off, Hi!  Nextly, this blog is dedicated to keeping the millions of people worldwide who are concerned with the well-being of my family up-to-date with the birth of Kayla and I's first child.  We have decided to name our daughter Alyssa Reneé Cox.  Alyssa is an awesome name, Reneé is Kayla's middle name, and we never got a choice with Cox, so Alyssa doesn't either.
